2005 Carbohydrate Research Award

The Carbohydrate Research Award for Creativity in Carbohydrate Chemistry was established in 2001 by the Editors and the Publisher of Carbohydrate Research.

The Carbohydrate Research Award is presented to a carbohydrate scientist who has made significant original contributions to the field, in its broadest sense. The award consists of a cheque for US$ 1,000, a certificate and a complimentary subscription to Carbohydrate Research for two years. The winner will be invited to present a plenary lecture during the opening ceremony of the 13^th Eurocarb symposium, Bratislava, Slovakia 22^nd August 2005, and to publish a paper based on their research in Carbohydrate Research.

The 2003 Award was presented to Professor Gert-Jan Boons during the 12^th Eurocarb symposium in Grenoble, and the 2001 award to Professor Laura L. Kiessling during the 11^th Eurocarb symposium in Portugal.
